IT'S A BOY!!!!

Secret’s out, we found out that Baby F is a BOY!!

The appointment was supposed to be on Feb 3, but due to the ice/snow storm that week, the appointment was cancelled.  We were able to reschedule for Feb 10.  Baby F is now 1 pound and his heart was pounding at 160 bpm.

Meike and I are excited and are starting the name search.  We were able to cut the book in half by not having to worry with the girls names.  But the name will not be spilled until the little guy enters the world!!  So place your bets now.

In the time since the last appointment, we have had a couple of parenting classes at church.  These were awesome, thanks Watermark!  Also, we have decided to switch from our OB to a midwife.  Our first appointment with her is March 8.

We have been busy getting the little guy’s room ready.  Here is a sneak peak.

Meike made the mobile with fabric and stuffing from Hancocks as well as the ribbon and hanger ring from Michaels.  She got our her sewing machine and went to town.  It looks great!

Baby F Update

Meike's second appointment on Dec 2 went well.  All signs were healthy.  The baby's heartbeat was 163 bpm.  On Jan 6, Meike had her third appointment.  Again everything looked good with the blood results from last time.  The baby's heartbeat was 150 bpm.  Our next appointment will be on Feb 3 for the middle of the pregnancy ultrasound.

Today, we picked up the BOB Revolution stroller and infant carrier attachment from REI.  We even found out which infant car seat/carrier we will be getting after some talk with a very helpful guy at Buy Buy Baby.

Christmas 2010

This year we spent Christmas in Garland.  On Christmas Eve, we went to my parents house for our traditional dinner of fajitas and tamales.  Then we all opened a few presents and enjoyed one of many desserts mom made.  There was Mississippi mud cake, caramel popcorn, red velvet cake, pecan prailines, chewy chocolate cookies, rice krispies, and a few more, I think!

Then on Christmas morning Santa came and brought more gifts for the kids and filled all the stockings with lots of candy.  Can't say I have had much restraint either.  My mom fixed the traditional sausage balls for everyone.  Aunt Liz, my cousin Steven and his girlfriend Taylor came over for some sausage ball action and presents with the kiddos.
